Where do you get your information from?

We search high & low , look any & everywhere we can think of to find the answers. Over the years we have accumulated a series of resources, local shops, boat captains, mates, obscure websites, basically anyone with some knowledge that is willing to share. We will give credit where credit is due, but we are human and do miss a source credit from time to time. Most of what you see is a combination of research and time spent doing

Why did you start Ace Tackle?

Ace came together from a series of ideas a group of friends had on how to spend some more time on something they all loved to do. Fishing in general is a series of problems that need solving. Someone is always trying to figure out how someone else caught more fish than them or how to do something they saw someone else doing. There is an overload of information out there about fishing and we hope to contribute to that knowledge overload, but we hope to do it with information we know is tried, true and tested. We can only hope as time goes on that we become a trusted resource for those who love the sport as much as we do.

How can I contribute or get what I need in Ace Tackle?

Why the name Ace Tackle?

Like any good idea, Ace Tackle started off in one place and end up somewhere completely different, but in our opinion a better place. Once there was an idea to get rich (or at least pay for our fishing habit) by building Custom Tackle, to be an "Ace" in Custom Tackle. Through the process of trying to determine which tackle we were going to specialize on, we realize there was a wealth of knowledge between us, as well as a lack of knowledge. So the idea was born to put our knowledge in one place, as well as to expand on and to share with those around us

Do you really use everything within this site?

YES!!!!  You will find nothing within this site we have not used or tried ourselves. The only way to stand behind something is to use it and in some cases abuse it. Ideas and concepts are a good start, but until you actually try to put something to good use, will you find it's short comings & improve on it. You make adjustments and try again until you feel you have gotten what you want. With that said what works for us may not work for everyone, conditions and circumstances are different everywhere. Yes, we may have sponsors, but we believe in and use their products, that is the only reason we will endorse something.
